For our As media studies practical we were required to produce a two minute title sequence with any genre in which we wanted, we chose action as our genre naming our sequence "Mr & Mrs Jones"
The plot of our openings sequence is to have two rival agencies being sent on the same missions, but they are both unaware that the other person they are competing is in fact her husband or his wife. The married couple live together, again unaware that in work their ultimate goal is to kill each other. As we have been unable to use explosives we have added into our title sequence still pictures of either myself or Ryan with quotes underneath them, we have chosen to do this mainly so that our target audience 15+ find our film easy to follow.
We decided on the name Mr and Mrs Jones because we felt that it was a common name in which people would be familiar with but also because it is a Welsh name, and as we are Welsh students studying in a Welsh college we thought it would be very appropriate.
Costume
For Mrs Jones we felt as though she should be
For Mr Jones I felt as though there needed to be a clear connection between both Mr and Mrs Jones. The reason we choose a gray suit was because gray is a strong block colour but its also seen to be a very natural and cool colour, showing that he is seen to be in vogue. The tailored fitted suit shows that he is comfortable with the way he looks, suggesting that he very confident. The difference between this suit and the suit we have chosen is that Ryan play Mr Jones wears a slightly different coloured shirt, its a soft blue colour to enhance his complextion. We also chose a boot leg fitted styled trousers. While we were deciding costume we had to keep in mind our genre, and make sure that we kept a clear understanding of that. That is why both of the suits I have chosen are both very sophisticated, and that our target audience become lost in the sense of drama and action. In a few of our shots Ryan is seen to be wearing a tie, the shots that he is wearing a tie is to show its a more serious and tense atmosphere, where as when the scenes in which he is not wearing a tie is showing our target audience that its a more relaxed atmosphere.
For Mrs Jones she also wore a soft blue dress, with netted arms which had diamantes along both arms and carefully placed around the neck line. The soft blue colour again represents her femininity, which contrasts with her long netted arms which suggest to the audience her masculinity. The diamantes can suggest two things, once again trying to connect with her famine side, and the second could show her life style, how she is in denial to her husband.
Hair and Makeup
We kept the actress makeup, along with her hair. we wanted to create a very realistic atmosphere, As Mr Jones was both seen to be manly and also have a very high snece of status, we used a very modern hair style keeping his facial ones very natural, but making shure the actor wore no makeup.

Setting and Location
Mise en scene
As soon as the audience see the advertisement, they will see Mr&MrsJones formally dressed holding guns. So the automatic reaction to this is that the audience will assume the genre is action and may make an assumption that the characters are leathel just because of the costume and props in which they are using. But becuase of the trailor, the audience will see that there is comedy involved, they will know this from Mr. Jones falling over when he was ment to do a high kick and then getting up and wiping the dust off himself like nothing has happened.
Then the drama within the trailor will be shown by Mrs. Jones with all her hair being blown in the wind with lots of make up on.
So it will be easy for the audience to make a quick and clear assumptions about the characters and genre of the film just based upon trailors and advertisement.
Script
Our title sequence involves the name of the production company "hitman films presents" and the two main characters, establishing who they are and what they do instantly. The title sequence consists of Mr. and Mrs. Jones shooting amd a close up of the faces ending with them together; 'opposite' each other facing in the other directions, virtually leaning on each other and both with guns in their hands.

Where we got out ideas from
Mr&Mrs Smith
IMDB:
The reason Mr&Mrs Smith stood out to us is because it is unique, fresh and a good solid, bold idea. We thought we would take the idea off Mrs&MrsSmith and take a more modern twist on it by adding him a little more action, a little more drama and definitely a little more comedy just to be different, to stand out from other films and apply itself to a wider variety or audience.
Our research into Mr&MrsSmith was interesting as we took some famous 'stills' from the flim and changed it into our own although using the authentic techniques from Mr&MrsSmith.
For e.g - the picture above of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, we took that cliche image and turned it around, literally. Mr and Mrs Jones are swaped on the same picture so people can still relate to Mr&MrsJones via Mr&MrsSmith.
